2016 - 2019
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana (RMHCCIN) provides a “home-away-from-home” for families of children receiving medical care at Riley Hospital for Children and other local area hospitals.
Starting my professional career at a non-profit, I wore many hats and gained a lot of valuable experience. I started as an intern in 2016, was kept on as an independent contractor for a year, and then, after I graduated, a position was created for me.
One of my favorite responsibilities was being able to come up with design collateral for events.
Event Marketing
Event: taste & taste after dark | role: graphic design/social media
Taste is the biggest annual fundraiser RMHCCIN holds and Taste After Dark is an after party that was created in 2016 to attract young professionals. My responsibilities as a designer included:
Coming up with the design concept based on the theme for the year
Designing collateral including save the dates, invitations, social media graphics as well as day-of event collateral such as signage and programs
Website event page set-up

Social Media Videos
I even got to try my hand at putting together some videos - everything from shooting, figuring out how to get good audio, finding rights free audio, editing, and uploading the final product! This was the first time I had ever done anything with video.
