Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance (IFBI)

2018-2021
I never imagined myself doing graphic design at an insurance company, but at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance I worked with such an incredible team that helped me grow both professionally and personally. We functioned as an in-house advertising team that supports the Field (400+ agents) with advertising and campaign-specific pieces as well our internal teams at the Home Office. My role was part graphic design, part marketing, and part customer service.

Project: data overview (Internal Use) | Role: Graphic Designer
When working in a sales-driven industry, it’s important to focus energy on internal marketing to keep employees engaged, excited and motivated. It’s through this job that I learned of my love of taking data and transforming it into an easy-to-read piece that is not only nice to look at but also provides value for the intended audience.
The goal: To take data from a lead-generation sweepstakes and put it into an easy-to-read format for agents and executive leadership team members to be able to quickly scan and understand the results.
Internal Communications
Project: Weekly e-newsletter | Role: editor + graphic designer
Our agents get a lot of emails in their inbox, and it can be difficult to sort through to find the resources and information they need. As a result, the marketing team created a weekly e-newsletter called In the Know 2.0 to help alleviate some of that inbox clogging. This is created and sent via Bananatag.
The goal: To consolidate resources and updates across different departments into an easy-to-read, skim-friendly e-newsletter that links back to resources available on the Intranet site.
Marketing Materials
Project: recruiting flyer | Role: graphic designer
In late 2020, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance began re-branding a program, now called the Pacesetter program, to recruit younger talent who are interested in becoming an insurance agent but don’t quite have the experience to be a full-blown agent.
I got to help create a new design aesthetic and set the tone for the marketing materials for this program.
The goal: To create a flyer that would be used at recruiting events on college campuses.
